Try this very economic and easy recipe to delight your invites at home. The so original Tequila Three Milk Cake is perfect for a birthday party, a dinner in Thanksgiving or Christmas with the family. No doubt that we managed to get a Mexican version of a favorite dessert in America and Mexico. The touch by Tequila with grated coconut is simply delicious, tasty, and very original.
Our recipe is actually with 2 kinds of milk and TEQUILA! So, we could say it’s a little lighter than the standard recipe.
Before you go on ahead with the directions to fix this cake, let me list some of the benefits of Tequila:
- It lowers the blood sugar and fights cholesterol due to the Agavina that triggers insulin production
- No hangover – providing it is not mixed with sodas
- People with Diabetics can drink it too for it has less sugar that other spirit drinks.
- A little of Tequila cleans your colon- and prevents constipation
- Helps to lose weight. Unbelievable, but yes (with the advise to measure the intake)
TEQUILA THREE MILK CAKE
1 cup oil
1 spoon vanilla extract
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup regular milk
1 cup brown sugar
pinch of salt
2 cups of pancake flour
2 teaspoon baking powder – mix well
1 cup pecan (150 grs)
1/4 cup Tequila
3 pieces egg
150 grs grated coconut
Blend the wet ingredients: 1 cup of oil, 1 spoon vainilla, 1 cup of evaporated milk, and 3 eggs. Add 1 cup sugar, and a pinch of salt
Mix all of the dry ingredients in a separate container: pancake flour, baking power, salt- except coconut and pecans for they will be used to dress the cake later.
Integrate wet to dry ingredients very well. Add pecans.
Put butter on the cake oven base, and pour the mixture in it. Dress with the grated coconut
Oven at 180 C (350 F) for 40 minutes, until well cooked (light brown)
Final dressing: blend a cup of regular milk with tequila. Rinse Bathe the cake with it.
Put in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
