Homemade Fish Nuggets, Easy and Healthy
First of all, this recipe for Homemade Fish Nuggets is quite easy, quick, economic and nutritious. The way we do in Spicy Latina Mom is with very low calories, with no fats. The advise is to try to prevent processes foods (usually done with more salt and add-ins that actual nutrients) and foster the vitamin and vegetable intake from the early years to children at home.
Second reason to chose this recipe is that we are managing to include vegetables such as potato or chayote. The former is even lighter, and a good helper to lose weight due to its low cholesterol and sugar.
Moreover, chayote is a purifying ingredient, because it helps to regulate hypertension, prevents rheumatoid arthritis and kidney stones. Wow, it’s unbelievable that such a vegetable is so beneficial.
On the other hand, we have the Tuna Fish, rich in Omega 3, which helps people with high cholesterol and sugar level. Another advantage is the Omega 6 a recommended nutrient for kids since it helps to develop strong brain cells. Not only will you help your kids to succeed at school but in their everyday activities (homework, sports, etc).

Homemade Fish Nuggets
1 half lemon
1 piece egg
1 pinch garlic powder
1 tbsp coriander (minced)
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
250 grs Tuna fish (or any of your choice)
1 piece whole wheat bread (in crumbs)
Use a processor to beat the tuna fish, half lemon juice, a pinch of garlic powder, coriander, salt and pepper to taste
Add 2 tablespoons of beaten eggs and 2 tablespoons of powdered bread. Mix it all very well.
Shape the nuggets with your hand (smaller than your fist). Chek the consistency (if needed, add bread crumbs)
Put them on a frying pan (previously sprayed with oil) turning over after 6 to 8 minutes medium heat.
